Josh Hicks V3 from David W. King on Vimeo.

Joshua Hicks was born in western Montana. As a young boy he lived several years with his family in the Solomon Islands where his father built churches using traditional European timber framing techniques. These post and beam structures were Josh’s first lessons in woodworking. He later pursued a degree in humanities which involved the detailed study of cultural artifacts, particularly pottery and other domestic furnishings. When Joshua designs and builds furniture, his intent is to create pieces that are structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing using primarily native Montana wood from local sources. We hope you enjoy viewing some of his work.
